He asked… and I said YES!

November 8th ….. The man of my dreams asked me to marry him and slid a ring on my finger… For those of you who are interested, here is how it all went down 🙂 …

So, like any other Tuesday, I went to school in the morning and then went to work in the evening. Since it was our 4 month anniversary, Levi bought me flowers and chocolate and had it waiting for me when I got home. We ended up sitting down with the family and watched a couple episodes of Friends before Levi had to leave. Levi usually tries to leave my house around 9:30 when he comes over so he can get some sleep before he has to be at work at 6am. As he was leaving I was really bummed that our anniversary hadn’t been anything extra special like the previous ones, but Levi reassured me that we would go out on Saturday night to make up for it.

So I sat back down and my parents went to bed leaving me all alone in the house. My sister, Mariah, and her boyfriend, Weston, had left to go back to his place an hour or so before Levi left, which I thought was a little unusual since it was so late and they had school the next day but they do weird things sometimes so I just shook it off. Close to 10 pm I texted Levi to see if he was home yet and he said he was almost there. Then all the sudden he sent me a message with a picture of a book shelf in my room. I went to look in my room and there was a note left in-between the books.  I immediately got really excited because I knew Levi wouldn’t let our anniversary go by without making it special somehow. This one letter had just made my night! To my surprise though, the night had only just begun.

At the end of the letter it said to go grab my rain boots and a jacket and head outside for a little adventure. After reading this I was completely shocked! What the heck did he do? I got ready and headed outside. Right as I walked on the back porch I saw candles lining the stairs and then a candle lit path making its way out into our field. I was blown away! It was pitch black with a full moon and the fog had just settled in so the candles looked absolutely gorgeous. The path lead to our picnic table out back and laying on the table was another letter with candles all around it. As I read the letter it began to talk about everything we had been through 4 months ago when we first got together. When I was done reading the letter I turned around and saw that this wasn’t the end of the path; the candles kept going!!  As I continue to follow this gorgeous path, I come upon another letter out by our hill. In this letter Levi talked about everything that we went through 3 months ago and all of our memories during our second month together. I followed the path to the other side of the pond and another letter was left that talked about our history 2 months ago. The last letter lead me out in the middle of a field by the garden in the back corner of our property. The last letter was on the ground circled with candles and it listed some of the memories from one month ago and continued to describe everything he loved about me and how much he wanted to spend his future with me.

By this time I was definitely in tears and I still had no idea what was going to happen next. At the end of the letter Levi told me to grab two of the candles and spread out my arms to show him just how much I love him. At this point I felt really silly holding out my arms in the middle of a field at night with on one else around. With my arms held out as wide as I can stretch I start looking around to see what exactly is going to happen next. Then all of the sudden white lights lining both sides of our brick path lit up in the middle of our garden outback. I was shocked again!! How did he pull this off!! Still crying I ran over to the path and when I saw Levi standing at the end I cried even more (with tears of joy of course). When I got over to him he said he had one more surprise for me and he asked me to close my eyes. When I opened my eyes he was down on his knee with a ring in his hand and he asked me to marry him. After that I was in such shock that I don’t even remember what he said. All I remember is saying YES I WILL and then I continued by saying OH MY GOSH like 200 times 🙂

🙂 THANK YOU LEVI 🙂

I LOVE YOU!!!
